It has come to my attention that people dont know what "kei" means

Kei means type not fashion

Yes it is used in some fashions but it is also used in insults, music, ect

So next time i see someone say "oh jirai kei is a fashion cuz look it has kei in it" ima explode/silly

FASHION OF DISTRICT FOUR — district fashion typically is made up of layered looks during the winter, and much more loose and light things in the summer. all throughout the year, clothing tends to be colorful, reflecting the blues and greens and yellows that the district is covered in. many items are quilted or woven, regardless of season.

you’ll often see jackets, coats, vests, sweaters, lace and linen tops. pants and bottoms, aside those for sea work, tend to be light in color and weight. working pants tend to be dark and thick, to hold up under all the labor and keep sailors warm when out on the sea.

jewelry tends to be on strings and ropes tightly braided and knotted, with charms and glass beads. occasionally, they’re also adorned with metal, carefully made into iconic shapes and images. a lot of the district’s natural resources go into the jewelry such as fish bones and shells.

old web stuff in general is always cool, but i have such a deep and indescribable appreciation for early 2000s/2010s lolita blogs and their designs. personal blogs give you soo much more freedom of self expression compared to prebuilt social media profiles that limit your posting style. there is so much personality and care emitting from these pages and their content, just gives you such a different connection like talking to a friend. feeling so nostalgic for a time i wish i was able to be around for

Photos at Madrid's Victory ball! 💃

We attended our first ball! It was such a dreamlike experience!! It was also our first time doing Regency reenactment so it was a challenge. We haphazardly put together some looks, had a great time learning more about the fashion and the dances and met a bunch of lovely people from all over the world. The palace was stunning, the live band was wonderful and the food delicious, it was an unforgettable night 🥰

I absolutely have to share this dress I thrifted today, because I know I’ve got a handful of vintage fashion enjoyers here as well, and it’s also incredibly rose nylund core lol (picture under the cut, feel free to skip if you’re only here for art & not my personal shenanigans)
